The Break Down

by B.A. Paris

You won't be able to put down B. A. Paris's The Breakdown, the next chilling, propulsive novel from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Behind Closed Doors. If you can't trust yourself, who can you trust?

Staff Reviews

The Breakdown is an emotional psychological thriller. It grips you from the first sentence and keeps hold until the last. The book follows an ordinary woman, Cass, who witnesses something strange one night. While driving home in a thunderstorm, she sees a woman in a car pulled off on the side of a deserted road. The woman doesn't try and flag Cass down for help, and Cass is hesitant to stop in the storm, so she drives on. The next morning, Cass learns the woman was found dead in her car. She is plagued with guilt - could she have prevented the woman's death? Or would she have become a target for the killer if she had stopped? But someone else knows that Cass was there that night - and won't let her put the night behind her.
